The Networking and Influence Simulation (NIS) is a new software that allows users (individuals or small groups) to play the role of a manager seeking to influence an important Executive Committee decision in a global matrix organization.
You play a mid level manager in a peripheral but innovative subsidiary of a large multinational. Your boss, the Country Manager, has given you six months and a small budget to promote your subsidiary’s sustainability initiative as a blueprint for the global organization. To gather support for the project, you need to develop your own network in the organization as well as to discover the network linking the 22 company executives, the company’s Chairman, and an important external stakeholder. You have limited time (90 or 120 minutes) to accomplish your goal.
